Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Design Intern to support a civil design team on municipal and county infrastructure projects.

You will assist in grading, drainage, and utility planning while learning industry standards and software like AutoCAD Civil 3D. The internship offers hands-on experience under Senior Engineers, with opportunities to work in the field and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate Civil Engineering program.
• Effective verbal and written communication with clients and team members.
• Willingness to learn in a cross-disciplinary environment.
• Occasional site visits and outdoor field work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare grading, drainage, roadway, and utility plans for public infrastructure projects.
• Use Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, or similar software to create and check drawings and estimates.
• Assist with technical reports, exhibits, and presentations.
• Conduct field reviews and assessments.
• Ensure data quality and adherence to company values and practices.
