Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Site Design Intern to join a civil site design team, applying coursework to land development projects ranging from small commercial pads to large residential subdivisions.

The intern will learn to apply industry standards, including ASCE and local stormwater codes, and will assist Senior Engineers with grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D; travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering program, preferably Civil Engineering.
• Effective verbal and written communication with clients and team.
• Willingness to learn in a cross-disciplinary work environment.
• Willingness to attend site visits and work outdoors when needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Assist engineers in preparing grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans for residential and commercial site development projects.
• Perform preliminary stormwater and utility calculations.
• Prepare and revise construction plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist with permitting submittals to local jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with surveyors, landscape architects, and planners.
• Travel to project sites to observe conditions and support construction administration activities.
