Job summary

Shimmick Corporation is seeking a highly talented Business Development Manager. The role will be based in Southern or Northern California with travel to support assigned business units.

The company brings over 100 years of infrastructure experience and operates across water resources, sustainable transportation, and complex electrical construction. The ideal candidate will drive pipeline, sales and revenue targets, manage a CRM-based pipeline, and lead pursuit strategy for major infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field with 6 years of relevant BD/sales experience.
• Includes 2 years of leadership experience within BD/sales roles.
• Experience within Federal, Industrial, nuclear, and/or Water/Wastewater construction industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with clients, articulating Shimmick’s value proposition to position the company for project wins and long-term relationships.
• Manage virtual and in-person sales meetings and run outbound campaigns to create sales opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations tailored to each client’s business needs.
• Develop rapport with key decision makers and ensure excellent client follow-up and service.
• Develop industry relationships across the supply chain and secure teaming arrangements to maximize competitiveness.
• Own the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation and manage a CRM-based pipeline.
