Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead large-scale modernization across data centers, cloud readiness, and modernization of enterprise architectures.

You will guide hybrid/multi-cloud design, IaC implementations, and security modernization while aligning with client roadmaps and business needs. Travel up to 80% is expected for engagements.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of professional experience in infrastructure architecture for large enterprises.
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or large-scale transformation programs.
• Federal infrastructure environment experience preferred; regulated industries are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree required; cloud and security certifications strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and support multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure assessment and baseline analysis; topology mapping and cost modeling.
• Design modernized target architectures (cloud-native, hybrid, on-prem) aligned to roadmaps.
• Assess cloud readiness and develop phased migration strategies with sequencing.
• Develop IaC roadmaps to reduce manual toil and speed deployments.
• Evaluate dependencies between modernization and broader digital initiatives.
• Define findings within A&M’s engagement scope and support practice development.
