Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks an Infrastructure Architect to lead large-scale modernization projects, cloud readiness programs, and hybrid or on-premise architecture transformations for complex environments. The role emphasizes strategic planning, governance, and collaboration across teams.

You will drive IaC adoption, optimize infrastructure, and align work with client roadmaps, balancing performance, security, and cost. A degree and cloud certifications are preferred, with up to 80% travel.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of infrastructure architecture experience in large enterprises.
• Experience leading modernization, cloud migration, or large-scale programs.
• Federal infrastructure environment experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; cloud and infrastructure certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure assessment, topology mapping, and cost modeling.
• Design modernized architectures (cloud-native, hybrid, or optimized on-prem).
• Develop phased migration strategy and identify skill/gov gaps.
• Create IaC roadmaps to reduce manual toil and accelerate deployment.
• Evaluate dependencies between modernization, refactoring, and digital initiatives.
• Integrate findings into A&M engagement scope and deliverables.
• Support practice development through training and content creation.
