Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to lead large-scale modernization, cloud readiness, and architecture transformation for clients in regulated industries. You will design hybrid or cloud-native solutions, map capacity, and drive IaC initiatives across complex environments.

The role requires 8–12+ years in enterprise infrastructure, travel up to 80%, and a mix of full-time, contract, and project-based engagements.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of infrastructure architecture experience in large enterprises.
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization and cloud migration programs.
• Federal infrastructure environment experience preferred; regulated industries experience valued.
• Bachelor's degree; cloud and infrastructure certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure assessment and baseline analysis, topology mapping, and capacity planning.
• Design modernized target architectures (cloud-native, hybrid, or optimized on‑prem) aligned to roadmaps.
• Assess cloud readiness and develop phased migration strategies with sequencing.
• Develop IaC roadmaps to reduce manual toil and speed deployment.
• Evaluate dependencies between modernization efforts and broader digital transformation.
