Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an IT Support Engineer for a venture-backed AI hardware startup in San Jose, CA. This 3-6 month contract to hire role is onsite five days a week, with ASAP start and benefits eligibility.

You will join a growing IT team and work directly with IT leadership to support employees and streamline IT operations. Daily duties include onboarding/offboarding, device setup, troubleshooting across Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, and enabling security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of IT Support, Help Desk, or Desktop Support experience.
• Experience supporting both Windows and MacOS users.
• Experience with cloud-based applications and collaboration tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to work onsite in San Jose, CA, five days per week.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and access-related issues.
• Support a mixed Windows and MacOS environment.
• Perform employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Install, configure, and maintain laptops, workstations, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, and other cloud apps.
• Support conference room and video conferencing technologies.
• Assist with MDM administration, system maintenance, and IT operations.
• Help maintain security, compliance, and endpoint protection standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
