Job summary

Town of Eastham is seeking summer IT interns to join the municipal IT department. You will support the Help Desk, learn across IT operations, and gain hands-on experience with various Town departments.

This role requires at least one year of IT coursework and current IT student status, with training opportunities and a focus on customer service and professional communication.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Town of Eastham is looking future IT professionals to join our team for summer internships opportunity! Applicants must have a professional and positive attitude across all communications and be ready to learn all facets of a municipal IT department and the departments it supports. There will be varied training opportunities across Town departments while supporting our IT infrastructure and municipal services environment. Work will be both regularly scheduled and include multiple project opportunities. Applicants need to have completed at least (1) year of IT courses and be a current IT students.

Examples of Duties:

• Provide Tier 1 Help Desk services and support to IT Department and Town Staff.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues with an emphasis on customer service and professional communications both in-person, over the phone and via our Help Desk ticketing system.
• Log and update tickets including solution documentation using the Town's Help Desk software.
• Provide assistance to other Town departments for IT & business operations support to understand the full customer support experience.
• Assist with creating processes, procedures and IT solutions according to industry expected documentation best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.
