Job description

Job location: Washington D.C., DC 20376. Position type: Full Time. Salary range: $63,500.00 - $71,500.00. Title: Information Technology Associate I (Junior). Clearance type: None.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting steps for common technical issues and escalate more complex problems as needed.
• Provide first level technical support to end users, including account assistance, system access, and general IT inquiries.
• Monitor system performance and report irregularities or issues to senior team members.
• Support routine system maintenance, patching, and updates under guidance.
• Document work performed, including troubleshooting actions, resolutions, and updates to system records.
• Adhere to established cybersecurity and information assurance protocols to protect system integrity and sensitive data.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and tracking IT equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective and timely IT support across NAVSEA program offices.

Qualifications

• At least 0-4 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
• A minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant experience may satisfy degree requirements.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software, fundamental networking concepts, basic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ certification.
