Job summary

County of San Juan (NM) seeks an Information Systems Generalist I to perform ongoing maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of the Detention Center IS infrastructure, software, network systems, physical security systems, and servers. This role ensures stable operation and provides user assistance.

Under supervision, the position supports security-related systems, handles upgrades, and develops reports and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience in either application support or computer networking; or equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
• Pass an initial comprehensive criminal background check and be subject to periodic background checks during the course of your employment in this position.
• Valid State of New Mexico Driver's license or able to obtain within six (6) months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of the Detention Center IS infrastructure, software, network systems, physical security systems, and servers.
• Provide level I and II support of client hardware, physical security systems and all applications for Detention facilities.
• Install system upgrades and patches to all detention infrastructure systems, network infrastructure, physical security infrastructure, and applications.
• Design and generate custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services and Excel.
• Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for various Detention IS systems.
