Job summary

SAN-Juan County is seeking an Information Systems Generalist I to maintain, install, and troubleshoot the Detention Center’s IS infrastructure, software, network systems, and servers under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer. The role supports security systems, assists users, develops documentation, and may involve on-call rotation including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field with 1 year of relevant work experience
• Pass an initial comprehensive criminal background check
• Valid State of New Mexico Driver's license or able to obtain within six months

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of the Detention Center IS infrastructure, software, network systems, and servers.
• Provide level I and II support for Detention facilities’ hardware and applications.
• Install and program Hyper-V virtualization and related infrastructure.
• Assist users in training and system usage; set up accounts and permissions.
• Update and patch detention infrastructure, network, security systems, and apps.
• Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services and Excel.

1 year of experience in application support or computer networking
