Job summary

Malheur County is seeking an IT professional to provide personal computer and basic network administration support for county users in Vale and surrounding offices. You will help install, maintain, and repair hardware and software, manage servers, and support LAN/WAN services within established guidelines.

This role requires at least four years in networking and Microsoft server management, plus three years on-premises server and Exchange administration.

Qualifications

Minimum four years’ experience in networking and Microsoft server management.
Three years’ experience on-prem server administration and on-prem Exchange administration.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining incoming Help Desk requests.
Responsible for patching servers and minor network reconfigurations.
Performs regularly scheduled security vulnerability scans on the County’s network.
Maintains technology documents/certificates and related maintenance agreements.
Performs minor scripting tasks.
Assists in maintaining SQL databases and repositories.
After-hours and weekend work may be required.
Regular physical attendance at the employer’s facility is required.
