Job summary

Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education seeks an Information Services Technician I to provide centralized information and library/communications support for certification programs across the state.

You will access and process data through electronic networks, assist public inquiries, and help publish materials while maintaining accurate records and statistics in a fast-paced government setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in information provision to the public or clerical work using computer equipment and software.
• Ability to access and process data through statewide networks using word processing and WWW tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, publication, resource and reference services statewide.
• Answer requests from the public and state agencies and disseminate printed materials.
• Compile and maintain statistics and data; assist with formatting state documents.
