Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Information System Security Officer to support the Homeland Enterprise IT Secure Services and Support (HEITS) contract under the DHS Insider Threat Program. The role focuses on security accreditation, vulnerability management, and security assessments to safeguard DHS missions.

The candidate will coordinate security engineering efforts, perform weekly vulnerability scans, and prepare detailed reports for government review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical documents, analyses, and reports.
• Experience presenting briefings to senior customer management.
• Ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for security engineering and deployment of security technology for external threat, insider threat, and cyber operations.
• Coordinate weekly vulnerability scans and ensure scan results are analyzed by ITP.
• Support security assessments: define scope, develop test plans, obtain approvals, analyze results and deliver findings.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on scan coverage and issues; maintain BOE documentation.
• Maintain ATO/ATC/IATT status and submit schedules for A&A packages.
