Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an information security professional to champion security processes across the enterprise. The role includes triaging alerts, monitoring malware and spam systems, investigating incidents, and reporting findings to stakeholders.

You will help audits for SOC/HIPAA/HITECH, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and contribute to metrics and awareness programs. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; 2+ years in IT ops or information security.
• Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) preferred.
• Experience with ISO 27001, SOX, HIPAA/HITECH desirable.

Responsibilities

• Triage security alerts and monitor malware, spyware, and spam systems to identify trends and risk.
• Investigate incidents and prepare accurate, timely incident reports for escalation.
• Assist in audits and evidence requests for regulatory compliance (SOC, HIPAA/HITECH).
• Develop, maintain and communicate metrics to measure information security program effectiveness.
