Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Information Security Analyst to champion security across our Illinois operations, including Freeport. You will triage alerts, monitor malware and filtering systems, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation with IT teams.

Responsibilities include evaluating security notices, supporting regulatory audits (SOC, HIPAA/HITECH), and strengthening third-party security. A two-year IT security background and SIEM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with at least two years in IT operations or IT security.
• Knowledge of common security exploits, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.
• Experience with SIEM implementation/administration is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Triage information security alerts and monitor security solutions.
• Investigate incidents and create timely incident reports.
• Evaluate security notices and coordinate remediation steps.
• Develop metrics to measure information security program effectiveness.
