What We Do
We are responsible for supporting the Information Security awareness program initiatives, including protecting information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, inspection, recording, or destruction. Security Information & Event Monitoring (SIEM) tool responsibilities are a key aspect of this role.
What You'll Do
- Participate in identifying business process requirements and related solutions for specific needs.
- Provide training and support directly to customers as needed.
- Identify/receive problems, research solutions, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test, gain consensus, and implement solutions for business processes.
- Create documentation of technical security requirements and functions.
- Generate reports, analyze data, and report trends to management or business partners.
- Oversee small to medium-scale projects or phases of larger projects under general supervision.
- Maintain high-quality time and task entries to enable automated capacity planning.
- Conduct risk assessments by interviewing internal and external customers to understand security and compliance requirements.
- Support information systems development and advise on risks related to new or evolving technologies.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into daily activities.
- Participate in evaluating and selecting new technologies.
- Resolve security issues across various platforms, including email, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing.
- Perform duties outside normal hours as needed based on business requirements.
- Work on moderate scope problems, analyzing situations considering various factors.
- Exercise judgment within established procedures and practices.
- Follow department processes, making recommendations for improvements.
- Work independently, setting priorities and objectives; work is reviewed for judgment and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between departments.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security.
- At least 2 years of experience with networking, intrusion detection, VPN, PKI, Checkpoint and PIX firewalls, CISCO, NAC, identity management, and encryption technologies.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, CCNP.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of UNIX/AIX, Microsoft NT/2000, multi-layer firewall design and implementation, Cisco router access lists, WANs, LANs, network protocols, and services like telnet and FTP.
- Experience implementing security technologies and processes.
- Experience evaluating products and managing vendor relationships.
- Experience with SIEM tools, preferably Alert Logic or similar.
- Ability to define security strategies and integrate technologies into corporate frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Salary Range: $65,550 - $87,375 Annually
This range is an estimate and may vary based on education, experience, and location.
