Executive Office - Remote in the US - Information Security Analyst

Help the state's largest agency keep data private and secure. ND Health and Human Services (NDHHS) is seeking a Security Analyst to implement and manage the HHS enterprise information security program.

Information Security Analyst is a newly created position; you will implement activities that increase the agency's security posture. Your work will impact access control, data preservation, cybersecurity compliance, disaster planning and recovery, and risk management. You will collaborate with inter and intra agency partners to provide guidance on security and privacy issues to all levels of staff. You will leverage change management skills to promote user adoption of prevention-first security practices.

To be successful as our Security Analyst, you must have a comprehensive understanding of the security landscape, which is constantly evolving. You should stay ahead of security issues, quickly identify solutions, and recognize that security is a shared responsibility requiring partnership and commitment.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Security, Technology, or related field.
• At least five (5) years of experience in Information Security and/or Information Technology, covering operational security, application security, physical security, and data preservation.
• Experience working in a government environment with third-party infrastructure services.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records and HIPAA compliance is preferred. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or COV are desirable.

Location: This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the US.
