Job Overview

Information Review and Release Analyst, Expert Level, flexible work schedule, located in the Herndon, VA area, supporting the KODIAK Program. The analyst reviews and redacts documents electronically and/or manually based on Executive Order (EO) 13526, FOIA, Privacy Act, special search and historical collection standards, and internal declassification guidance. They provide rationale for redactions, recommend release decisions, record decisions in automated systems, determine other government agency equities for external referral or non‑routine handling, manage the referral process, organize documents for declassification review, and research prior decisions for consistency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and redact documents according to EO 13526 and applicable laws.
• Provide rationale for redaction actions using Sponsor’s redaction codes.
• Recommend release of documents for Sponsor approval.
• Record decisions in Sponsor’s automated systems.
• Determine if records contain OGA equities or require non‑routine handling.
• Manage the referral process and external referrals.
• Organize documents for declassification review and assign to equity holders.
• Research prior declassification/release decisions for accuracy and consistency.
