Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida seeks a subject matter expert to provide Information Operations planning analysis support to MARCENT Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5), covering MISO, EW, Offensive Cyberspace Operations, and STO.

Responsibilities include attending USCENTCOM conferences and MARCENT working groups, supporting staff reviews, developing support plans for CONPLANs/OPLANs, producing briefs and information papers, and advising on STO/SAP/SAR/SCI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years IO/STO planning experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Subject matter expertise in Information Operations and STO/SAP.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required; eligibility for SAP access.
• Strong analytical and briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend USCENTCOM conferences, MARCENT working groups, and Battle Rhythm events (e.g., IO Working Group, MILDEC Working Group, monthly STO SVTC).
• Support MARCENT staff reviews of USCENTCOM planning products and generate responses ensuring IO equities are reflected.
• Support development of Component supporting plans to Combatant Command OPLANs and CONPLANs.
• Provide IPRs on planning efforts to MARCENT leadership; develop assessments, briefs, information papers, and standard naval messages.
• Serve as expert on STO, SAP, SAR, and SCI program matters for MARCENT.
• Assist MARCENT STO Chief with maintenance of the STO/SAP facility and accreditation; conduct periodic quality control reviews.
• Facilitate screening, initial training, and periodic retraining of personnel for SAP access.

Specific Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise on IO, Military Information Support Operations (MISO), Electronic Warfare (EW), Offensive Cyberspace Operations, Military Deception (MILDEC), Special Technical Operations (STO), interagency coordination, and non-lethal targeting

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Physical Requirements and Work Environment Work is generally performed in a standard office environment at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Must be able to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
