Job summary

Ice Miller LLP is seeking an Information Governance Records Analyst to manage data lifecycle, enforce retention policies, and ensure security across physical and electronic records. The role collaborates with IT and Legal, trains staff, and supports documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a professional services setting.
• Experience in Information Governance/Records Management preferred.
• RIM or CIP certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with records retention guidelines and data protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Information Governance program.
• Assist attorneys and staff in managing client and firm information per firm standards.
• Coordinate intake, classification, retention, and destruction of records.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Support IM standards and procedures.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding and information transfers.
• Index onsite files and reflect them in the 3E Records system.
• Collaborate with mobility team to prepare information for imaging and disposition.
• Support retention/destruction workflows.
• Provide metrics and reporting on IM activities.
• Contribute to firmwide IM training initiatives.
• Assist in automating complex spreadsheets and data cleaning.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
