Job summary

Global Law Firm is seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager to lead enterprise IG strategy, policy development, and governance standards. You will oversee governance across repositories, matter mobility, and lifecycle management while partnering with technology, risk, and legal teams.

The role combines strategic program leadership with hands-on oversight and team management, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• 7+ years in Information Governance, Records Management, Compliance or related field.
• Experience developing and implementing governance policies, control frameworks, and enterprise programs.
• Strong understanding of information lifecycle management, repository governance, metadata, classification, retention and disposition.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and ongoing management of enterprise Information Governance strategies, policies, standards, and accountability models.
• Oversee information retention, disposition, preservation, classification, stewardship and responsible handling.
• Manage governance reviews, risk assessments, remediation efforts, and program maturity initiatives.
• Partner with Technology, Information Security, Risk, Legal, Knowledge Management, Records Management and Practice Groups to align requirements.
• Mentor and develop junior Information Governance team members.
