  • Ensure documentation, controls, evidence, and reporting are consistent and defensible across the program.
Repository Governance & Information Architecture Oversight
  • Approve repository operating standards, target-state architecture, metadata, taxonomy, content placement, workspace, foldering, naming, classification, and repository requirements.
  • Provide direction for NetDocuments, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, shared drives, and other digital repositories while leaving infrastructure, cybersecurity, routine administration, and technical product ownership with the appropriate functions.
  • Oversee governance acceptance criteria and remediation priorities for migrations, consolidations, and repository modernization efforts.
Matter Mobility & Lifecycle Oversight
  • Provide managerial oversight for client-directed file transfers, attorney departures and arrivals, matter transfers, matter closure transitions, electronic disposition, and information portability.
  • Approve operating procedures addressing authorization, scope, chain of custody, validation, reconciliation, exceptions, completion, and audit evidence.
  • Resolve escalated client, ethical, confidentiality, policy, and cross-functional issues in coordination with the appropriate legal, risk, security, and business stakeholders.
Client, AI & Emerging Technology Governance
  • Own the enterprise process for identifying, interpreting, documenting, and maintaining client IG requirements and outside counsel guideline obligations.
  • Lead governance initiatives for Microsoft Copilot, generative AI, and emerging technologies, including requirements for acceptable use, information handling, retention, classification, and client obligations.
  • Support client questionnaires, audits, and due diligence requests in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Metrics, Training & Continuous Improvement
  • Define the enterprise IG measurement framework and consolidate repository, mobility, lifecycle, and Records Management metrics into leadership reporting.
  • Develop governance awareness, communications, and training standards, with role-specific content supported by the team and partner functions.
  • Identify opportunities for risk reduction, process standardization, automation, service improvement, and stronger adoption of governance requirements.
Compensation
