Job summary

GreatAmerica, a premier equipment financing provider and bank, seeks an Information Governance Manager to build and mature the governance program across the enterprise. You will align retention, privacy, and lifecycle controls with business needs and regulatory expectations.

You will translate policy into practical standards, lead governance initiatives, and partner with Legal, Data Governance, and IT to ensure enterprise-wide compliance and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications preferred (e.g., IGP, CIP, CRM, CIPP).
• 5–8+ years in information governance, records management, privacy, data governance, or related fields.
• Experience in regulated environments (financial services, banking, insurance) preferred.
• Ability to translate regulatory/policy requirements into operational processes.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and enterprise-wide governance strategies.
• Knowledge of information governance tech such as Purview, SharePoint, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maturation of the Information Governance program.
• Establish governance structures, standards, classification frameworks and monitoring programs.
• Translate regulatory and policy requirements into actionable standards and procedures.
• Develop enterprise information classification standards and handling requirements.
• Promote consistent information classification and labeling by sensitivity and value.
• Support records retention schedules and inventories of information assets.
