Job summary

GreatAmerica is seeking an Information Governance Manager to build and mature our enterprise information governance program, including records retention, privacy alignment, and lifecycle management. You will work with Legal, Data Governance, IT, and business units to translate policy and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable processes.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in information governance or related fields, a Bachelor’s degree, and certifications such as IGP, CIP, CRM, or CIPP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of information governance or related field.
• Experience in regulated environments (financial services preferred).
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maturation of the Information Governance program.
• Establish and maintain information classification and retention standards.
• Monitor adherence to governance requirements across functions.
• Develop guidance, training, and communications to promote adoption.
