CoxHealth is seeking a friendly, customer-focused individual to join the Surgery Waiting Room team in Springfield, MO. The role supports patient and family check-in, assists with records, and ensures a clean, organized waiting area.

Responsibilities include general client needs, patient identification, and coordinating with physicians as needed. The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of customer service experience.

• Basic computer proficiency required.

• Assist with patient and family needs upon arrival in the Surgery Waiting Room.
• Support physician and family location and record keeping.

• Maintain tidiness and proper function of the Surgery Waiting area.

Job Description:

Has a basic working knowledge of all office functions and assumes responsibility and accountability for specific aspects of patient and family needs pertaining to their arrival in the Surgery Waiting Room, physician’s help with family location, record keeping, client requirements, patient identification and family information. Maintain tidiness of visual and function of Surgery Waiting area. Completes work assignments pertaining to general behaviors listed below.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Required: One year previous customer service experience

Skills:

• Exceptional telephone and interpersonal skills
• Has attention to details
• Moderate computer proficiency
• Must be able to handle stress of multi-task demands of high volume area, with extreme accuracy and confidentially.
