CoxHealth is seeking an Experienced Nurse Resident to join the Medical‑Surgical Nursing team in Springfield, MO. Under supervision, you will manage care for patients with general medical conditions or general surgical needs, assess conditions, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vitals, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, MO nursing license, and BLS within 90 days.

• No prior experience required.

Job Summary

• The Experienced Nurse Resident, under the supervision of a nurse, is responsible for managing the care of patients experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The Experienced Nurse Resident must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Medical-Surgical nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.
