Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for an outpatient facility in St. Augustine, FL.

The role emphasizes clinic-based care with no nights or weekends and requires board-certified MD/DO credentials and active medical licensure. Responsibilities include managing 14–18 patients daily, supervising PAs/NPs, ensuring timely documentation, and contributing to care coordination and retention efforts.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active state medical license.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Must possess valid DEA registration and Furnishing license.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported environment.
• Must have CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards, collaborating with the care team.
• Oversee patient scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet productivity benchmarks.
• Complete documentation on the same day or within 72 hours with accurate E/M billing codes.
• Deliver primary care for chronic and acute conditions (hypertension, diabetes, infections, HIV, STIs, UTIs, COPD, etc.).
• Collaborate with front desk, care coordinators, and nursing staff to manage urgent care and walk-ins.
• Review consultant reports, imaging and lab results promptly.
• Process prescription renewals within 72 hours.
• Monitor and respond to voicemails/emails daily.
• Support patient retention efforts (retention summaries).
• Supervise mid-level providers (PAs/NPs) with chart reviews or audits as required.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage.
• Full-time physicians receive 4 hours of protected admin time weekly.
