Job summary

Ashford Connex, LLC in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Medical Director (Infectious Disease) to lead outpatient care in a time-flexible, mission-driven clinic. The role focuses on high-quality primary care, no night shifts, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

You will manage 14–18 patients per day, supervise PAs and NPs, ensure timely documentation and billing, and participate in after-hours coverage as needed. Competitive compensation included.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license.
• Valid DEA registration and Furnishing license.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily.
• Active CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Oversee scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet benchmarks.
• Document visits the same day or within 72 hours with accurate E/M codes.
• Deliver primary care for chronic and acute conditions (e.g., HTN, diabetes, infections, HIV, STIs).
• Collaborate with front desk, care coordinators, and nursing staff.
• Supervise mid-level providers (PAs and NPs) with chart reviews as needed.
