Job summary

Sterling St James LLC seeks a Medical Director (Infectious Disease) for our outpatient clinic in San Francisco, CA. The physician will provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a structured, team-based setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Oversee patient scheduling and minimize no-shows.
• Complete documentation the same day or within 72 hours with accurate billing codes.
• Deliver primary care services for chronic and acute conditions.
• Collaborate with care team to manage urgent care and walk-ins.
• Review labs, imaging, and consultant reports promptly.
• Process prescription renewals within 72 hours.
• Support patient retention efforts and supervise mid-level providers.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
