Job summary

Our Healthcare Center Wellness Clinic in St. Augustine, FL is seeking a Medical Director (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Infectious Disease) for our outpatient facility. You will join a fully staffed, mission-driven team dedicated to serving the local community.

You will provide high-quality care, manage 14–18 patients daily, and supervise mid-level providers. A state-appropriate MD/DO license, DEA, Furnishing license, and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported environment.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.
• Must hold MD or DO license with DEA and Furnishing license.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Oversee scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet targets.
• Document visits the same day or within 72 hours, with accurate coding.
• Deliver primary care for chronic and acute conditions.
• Collaborate with front desk, care coordinators, and nursing staff.
• Review consultant reports, imaging, and lab results promptly.
• Process prescription renewals within 72 hours.
• Monitor voicemails/emails daily and respond.
• Support patient retention with retention summaries.
• Supervise mid-level providers, including chart reviews.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Receive 4 hours of protected admin time weekly.
