Job summary

Healthcare Center Wellness Clinic in Saint Augustine, FL seeks a Medical Director (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Infectious Disease) to join our outpatient facility. You will work with a fully staffed team committed to serving the local community.

The role requires an MD or DO with an active license, DEA and Furnishing credentials, and outpatient experience. You will supervise mid-level providers and handle 14–18 patients per day with no nights or weekends involvement.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with an active state medical license.
• Valid DEA registration and Furnishing License.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported environment.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Collaborate with care team to support patient well-being.
• Oversee scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet productivity benchmarks.
• Complete same-day or 72-hour documentation with accurate billing codes.
• Deliver primary care for chronic and acute conditions.
• Coordinate with front desk, care coordinators, and nursing staff for urgent care.
• Review consultant reports, imaging, and labs promptly.
• Process prescription renewals within 72 hours.
• Monitor voicemails/emails daily.
• Support patient retention with retention summaries.
• Supervise mid-level providers (PAs and NPs).
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Admin time: 4 hours/week for full-time physicians.
