Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Graduation from an Accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• Medical Assistant Certification required; if not on hire, 12 months to obtain.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs chart review to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Utilizes EHR to obtain medical information and communicate with patient and care team.
• Identifies care gaps using evidence-based guidelines and standing orders.
• Collaborates with care team to meet performance metrics and clinical quality measures.
• Maintains clinical skills and provides direct patient care as needed; completes onboarding/orientation and simulation training.
• Participates in Annual Clinical Education Days (ACED) as needed or directed.
