Job summary

Albermarle Health & Rehabilitation Center in Charlottesville, Virginia seeks an Infection Preventionist to coordinate and lead the center’s infection prevention and control program. Qualifications

• RN degree required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ years of infection prevention experience in an acute or post-acute care setting; LTC experience preferred.
• Infection Control Practitioner Certification (CIC) training/certification preferred.
• Experience in adult clinical education.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to proactively build teams and develop positive working relationships at all levels.
• Must be able to work independently, prioritize responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and implement the Center’s infection prevention and control program.
• Provide training, supervision, and conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to program.
• Develop action plans to ensure regulatory compliance and patient/employee safety.
• Collaborate with center staff and corporate levels to promote infection prevention planning.
• Work with Corporate Clinical Education Specialist to develop policies, procedures, protocols, and training.
