Job summary

Cherrydale Health & Rehabilitation Center in Arlington, VA is seeking an Infection Preventionist to coordinate and manage the center’s infection prevention and control program. Under the leadership of the Director of Nursing and Administrator, you will work with staff, patients, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure all practices comply with CDC, CMS, OSHA and state guidelines for long-term care.

Responsibilities include training, supervision, compliance audits, action planning for regulatory

Qualifications

• Medical technologist or microbiologist with knowledge of identifying health care associated infections.
• Must have or be willing to complete specialized infection prevention training for long-term care.
• Nursing license is required (RN or LPN).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and implement the infection prevention and control program.
• Provide training, supervision, and conduct compliance audits.
• Develop action plans to ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety.
• Collaborate with corporate and clinical staff to improve infection prevention activities.
