Job summary

Maple Farm is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead the IPCP, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff. You will develop precautions, oversee surveillance, and collaborate with leadership to meet annual IPC goals and national guidelines.

The role requires licensing as LPN or RN, specialized IPC training, and proficiency in Excel and Word. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits including health insurance, 401K, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with state-appropriate license (LPN or RN).
• Proficient in Excel and Word to track and trend infections.
• Experience in infection prevention and control education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) across residents, staff, and visitors.
• Develop and implement standard and transmission-based precautions to prevent infections.
• Chairs the Infection Control Committee and reports on IPC activities.
• Collaborate with leadership and medical director to set IPC goals and action plans.
• Oversee antibiotic stewardship and monitor residents’ antibiotic use.
• Conduct outbreak investigations and report to local/state/national agencies as required.
• Provide IPC in-service education and maintain regulatory knowledge.
