Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking an Infection Prevention Staff Development/Assistant Director of Nursing, IPSD/ADNS (RN) to lead infection control and staff education across the community. This dual role combines clinical oversight with training responsibilities and collaboration with the DNS.

You will develop orientations, monitor compliance, analyze infection data, and contribute to budget and OSHA programs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment (Indiana).
• Valid CPR teaching certificate required.
• Ability to push, pull and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric population preferred.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience with infection control training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance training and education for care team members.
• Document training per state, federal and compliance requirements.
• Monitor performance and address compliance issues.
• Develop and conduct clinical orientation in collaboration with HR manager.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation to licensed, unlicensed and CNAs.
• Coordinate new staff training and CPR training.
• Assess resident needs and design infection control training accordingly.
• Ensure DNS oversight of nursing staff competency and annual assessments.
• Support nursing care on the floor during critical staffing levels.
• Collect, analyze, and report infection data and trends.
