Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking an Infection Prevention Staff Development/ Assistant Director of Nursing Services (RN) to lead infection control and staff education. Dual role includes clinical tasks and coordinating the nursing department under the DNS.

Responsibilities include training compliance, orientation programs, on-floor support during staffing shortages, and data-driven infection trend analysis, with Savannah-style HR collaboration and OSHA/Risk Management oversight.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by State Board, active and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Two years nursing experience with training in Infection Control preferred.
• Experience in long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infection control and staff development program.
• Ensure training compliance and proper documentation.
• Assist DNS and supervise clinical competency of nursing staff.
• Develop and conduct orientation and CPR training for new staff.
• Support on-floor nursing duties during critical staffing levels.
• Collect, analyze infection data and identify trends.
• Assist with department budget and OSHA/Risk Management tasks.
• Plan state and federal in-service programs.
• Oversee Relias platform updates for new hires and terminations.
