Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate care quality related to HAIs/CAIs and oversee infection control programs at the facility. You will collect and analyze HAI data, present findings, and educate staff, residents, and families.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR, IPC training, and experience with geriatrics. You will monitor advisories and ensure compliance with Lifecare standards at the Sullivan facility.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or higher and an active RN license.
• CPR certification required at hire and maintained.
• Specialized IPC training beyond initial education is required.
• Geriatrics experience preferred.
• State certification/training as per requirements (e.g., Certified TB Nurse).

Responsibilities

• Monitor Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies (CDC).
• Act as on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response per CDC guidance.
• Work onsite at the facility (not off-site).
• Develop and oversee Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
• Maintain current knowledge of infection control trends and practices.
• Adhere to company policies and code of conduct.
