Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate and improve resident care outcomes related to HAIs/CAIs. You will collect and analyze HAI data, present findings, and recommend actions.

This role serves as the on-site infection prevention resource across departments. Requirements include an active RN license, nursing degree, CPR, IPC training, and preferred geriatrics experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or higher and RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification must be current.
• Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training.
• Prior geriatrics experience preferred.
• State-specific IPC certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infection control programs and advise on actions.
• Act as on-site IPC lead for COVID-19 prevention and response.
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention.
• Develop and maintain Antibiotic Stewardship practices.
• Coordinate monitoring of Public Health Advisories and outbreaks.
