Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate resident care quality and outcomes related to HAIs/CAIs. You will collect, prepare, and analyze HAI data, present findings, and advise actions to staff, residents, and families across the facility.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR certification, and IPC training with geriatrics experience preferred. You will work on-site at the Columbus facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations and Life Care

Qualifications

Nursing diploma or higher required.
Active RN license in good standing.
CPR certification required on hire or during orientation.
Specialized IPC training beyond initial training is required.
Geriatrics experience preferred.
State-required certifications (e.g., Certified TB Nurse) may be needed.

Responsibilities

Monitor Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC.
Serve as on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response per CDC recommendations.
Work onsite at the facility; not off-site consultants or at a corporate office.
Develop and maintain the Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
Maintain knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices.
Make independent decisions when warranted.
Understand and apply infection prevention and control practices per laws and guidelines.
Implement and interpret IPC programs, goals, policies, and procedures.
Maintain professional relationships and confidentiality; comply with company policies and training.
