Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in West Palm Beach, FL seeks an RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate quality of resident care related to HAIs/CAIs, collect and analyze data, and present findings with actionable recommendations. You will serve as a resource to all departments and staff, guiding infection control practices.

The role requires a Nursing diploma, Florida RN license, CPR certification, and specialized IPC training; geriatrics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's) and active RN license in Florida.
CPR certification required at hire or during orientation.
Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training.
Geriatrics experience preferred.
State-required certifications or training such as Certified TB Nurse.

Responsibilities

Monitor Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC.
Serve as on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response per CDC guidance.
Work onsite at the facility; not an off-site consultant.
Develop and be accountable for the Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
Maintain current knowledge of infection control trends and employee health practices.
Follow laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in post-acute care.
Implement and interpret Infection Prevention and Control programs and policies.
