Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate resident care and outcomes related to healthcare-associated infections (HAI) and community-acquired infections (CAI) in accordance with Life Care standards.

The role collects, analyzes HAI data, presents findings with actionable recommendations, and educates staff, residents, and families. The IP leads infection control initiatives, supports antibiotic stewardship, and serves as a resource to all departments onsite.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or higher required.
• CPR certification required at hire or during orientation; must remain current.
• Specialized IPC training beyond basic nursing education is required.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• State licensure as an RN in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality of resident care and outcomes related to HAI and CAI.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze HAI data.
• Present infection data and make recommendations for action.
• Monitor compliance with infection control standards at the facility.
• Provide education to staff, residents, and families on infection prevention.
• Serve as a resource to all departments and personnel.
• Lead Antibiotic Stewardship Program development and accountability.
