Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an LPN Infection Preventionist to monitor and improve infection control across the facility. You’ll assess HAI/CAI data, educate staff, residents, and families, and serve as resource to all departments.

This on-site role requires an active LPN license, CPR, IPC training, and knowledge of CDC guidelines. You will lead the Antibiotic Stewardship Program and ensure compliance with state and Life Care standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in good standing with the applicable State.
• CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.
• Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training.
• Geriatrics experience preferred.
• State-required certifications or training (e.g., Certified TB Nurse).

Responsibilities

• Monitors Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC.
• On-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response per CDC recommendations.
• Works onsite at the facility; not an off-site consultant.
• Develops and ensures accountability for the Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
• Maintains knowledge of infection control trends and employee health practices.
• Follows infection prevention and control programs and policies.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with company policies.
