A leading healthcare center in Knoxville seeks an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse. This full-time role involves educating staff on IPC practices, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining quality patient care. Ideal candidates will have nursing experience and strong communication skills.
Full Time, Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
This position is responsible for maintaining clinical competency through the application of integrated nursing knowledge, skills, leadership, and communication. The nurse exhibits organizational ability related to workflow for maintaining IPC practices in the center. The role involves integrating current standards of practice along with local, state, and federal regulations related to IPC practices. The nurse practices continuous quality improvement and problem-solving skills.
Graduate from an accredited nursing school with a current, unencumbered license to practice in the state of employment. IPC Certification must be obtained within six months of starting the position.
2-5 years of experience as an LPN or RN required. Infection control and/or risk management experience is preferred.
Our campus is a 166-bed post-acute skilled nursing health care center serving individuals after strokes, joint replacements, cardiac procedures, or serious illnesses.
