Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse for Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness in Casper, WY. The role focuses on tracking and monitoring infections and educating staff on infection control policies and procedures.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN or LPN license, with 2+ years of nursing experience and exposure to long-term care and infection control. Supervisory experience is a plus and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license required.
• Two years' nursing experience preferred.
• One year in long-term care preferred.
• One-year infection control experience preferred.
• Experience supervising preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements facility policies, procedures and regulations.
• Teaches infection control policies and procedures to staff.
• Identifies issues and contributes to problem solving.
• Participates in QA/QI meetings related to resident care.
• Maintains all records and data neatly for prompt retrieval.

Job Summary:

Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellnessis currently accepting applications for an experiencedInfection Prevention Nurseto track and monitor infections in the facility and educate staff regarding infection control policies andprocedures.

Essential Functions:

• Interprets and implements established facility policies, procedures and regulations
• Observes and teaches the facility infection control policies and procedures
• Demonstrates consistent ability to identify issues
• Participates in and contributes meaningful information in all meetings relating to resident care and QA/QI in the facility.
• Maintains all records and data in a neat, organized manner for prompt retrieval.

Education, Licensure and Experience:

• Required:RN / LPN license in(State)
• Preferred:Two years' experience in nursing
• Preferred:One year in long-term care,
• Preferred:One-year experience with infection control
• Experience supervising
