Job summary

Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness in Casper, WY is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse to track and monitor infections in the facility and educate staff on infection control policies and procedures.

Required RN/LPN license in-state with preference for two years’ nursing experience, plus familiarity with long-term care and infection control. Beneficial: supervisory experience and QA/QI involvement. Evergreen Healthcare Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in-state is required.
• Two years of nursing experience is preferred.
• One year in long-term care is preferred.
• One year of infection control experience is preferred.
• Experience supervising is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and implements established facility policies, procedures and regulations.
• Observes and teaches the facility infection control policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates consistency in identifying issues.
• Participates in and contributes meaningful information in all meetings related to resident care and QA/QI in the facility.
• Maintains all records and data neatly and accessibly for prompt retrieval.
