Job summary

Galileo Search, LLC. is seeking an Infection Prevention Leader to oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program within a Level I Trauma Regional Referral Center.

You will mentor a team of Infection Preventionists, guide clinical practice, and coordinate surveillance, data analysis, and reporting to identify trends and improve patient outcomes. You will investigate clusters, ensure CMS/CDC/NHSN compliance, and collaborate with nursing, Quality, and department leaders to strengthen

Qualifications

• Experience leading infection prevention programs and teams.
• Strong knowledge of CMS, CDC, NHSN standards and accreditation requirements.
• Ability to coordinate surveillance, data analysis, and reporting to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Infection Prevention and Control Program to support patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Infection Preventionists with clinical guidance.
• Coordinate infection surveillance, data analysis, and reporting to identify trends and reduce infections.
• Investigate infection clusters and outbreaks and implement prevention measures.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CDC, NHSN, and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical staff, Quality, and leaders to strengthen infection prevention practices.
• Oversee environmental infection risks, monitoring, and remediation in care areas.
• Support annual risk assessments, planning, and policy updates.
