Ascension is hiring an Infection Control Nurse at Ascension Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. You will lead outbreak response, train doctors and nurses on safe hygiene, and help create and enforce health policies to protect patients and staff.

The role requires Oklahoma RN licensure, a nursing diploma, and Certification in Infection Prevention and Control within 3 years of hire. Collaboration with clinical teams and strong communication are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Oklahoma is required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent licensure at time of hire.
• Strong communication and collaboration with hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Outbreak Response: track and investigate infection clusters.
• Train hospital staff on safe hygiene and care practices.
• Create safety rules and health policies based on current science and laws.
• Review patient data to identify and mitigate infection risks.
