Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Educator & Infection Preventionist for a full-time, days position. You will develop and oversee clinical education programs, orient new nursing staff, and lead infection prevention initiatives across the hospital.

The role requires a current RN license, a BSN or higher preferred, and at least four years of nursing experience with infection prevention or education. BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• BLS Required.
• At least 4 years of nursing experience.
• Education or Infection Prevention experience preferred.
• Rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate education programs and orientation of staff, students, volunteers and contracted nursing staff.
• Lead infection prevention efforts and develop the annual Infection Control Plan; evaluate effectiveness and report to leadership/committees.
• Ensure systems are in place to report infection surveillance, prevention and control information to hospital staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
